Get Out North is an exhilarating initiative born from the spirit of exploration and the love for the great outdoors. Founded by Discover Outdoors, Get Out North is your passport to the breathtaking landscapes of North Dakota and Minnesota. More than just a collection of trails, they are dedicated to blazing new trails and guiding you through the untamed beauty of the wilderness.
Get Out North came to me with a problem. Their current site was not optimized well, and they were looking for an expert to help take over and provide a solution. That’s where I stepped in! I supported the Get Out North team with a new website, an optimized wireframe, and a scalable content package that will allow them to grow into the future.

Get Out North is dedicated to creating a locally-curated hiking, biking, and camping community. I wanted their website to look and feel like something that the audience would be familiar with.
I took to warm, outdoor-inspired tones along with visual inspiration from brands like Patagonia, Columbia, REI, and AllTrails to create a feel that a user would be comfortable with. Combined with action-forward photos and a trendy vintage feel, Get Out North felt like a modern brand that its audience could trust.
After just one meeting, Andrew understood the problem I was trying to solve and saw ways we could potentially scale the website in the future. He was incredibly respectful of my budget and timeline and ultimately produced a final product more beautiful than I imagined!
